Bringing UX expertise from web infancy to the AI revolution.
Where I’ve been
From a small agency to working at large consumer and enterprise tech companies, I’ve learned through hands on experiences, that the same set of principles applies when building great user experiences. It’s knowing that “Empathy” and “Collaboration” are not buzz words. The ability to putting yourself in the user’s shoes by understanding their needs, desires, and pain points, and closely collaborating with cross functional partners, is key to designing experiences that truly have measurable improvements for our users.
People at heart
Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to have had several great mentors to learn from, and also learning through challenging experiences, I believe the most important elements to my success is the success of my team members. I operate as a team builder and a multiplier, who brings in the culture of Transparency, Trust and Collaboration. I lead by empowering team members on owning their space to grow with proper mentorship. With this, I’ve seen my team members rise to execute and making positive impact not just in their projects, but also in our organization at large.
One influencing principle I practice daily, which I learned at PayPal is:
Be Human-People are inherently good
My Education
I graduated from the Academy of Art University in 2000 with a Bachelors in Fine Arts, majoring in Photography. It was here I learned that every grain counts, in that details do matter in how your audience translates your work. That empathy is a must to genuinely craft and present stories in a meaningful way. A picture is worth a thousand words. Creating something that your users/viewers can use/relate instantly is the key to successful experiences. This is the premise in how I approach user centered designs.
